Doctors of Government-run JJ Hospital who performed various medial tests after hospitalisation of Indrani Mukherjea mentioned in the 9-page discharge summary that samples of Cocaine, Opiates and Amphetamines have been found in her Urine sample. She was discharged from JJ Hospital on October 6th.
Initially, Doctors opined Indrani Mukherjea might have collapsed in the prison due to drug overdose. However, Indrani denied it saying she took medicines only in the presence of jail doctor and ruled out any chances of consuming drugs.
In her statement to IG (Prisons) Bipin Kumar Singh, Indrani told she wasn't on Medication post September 26th and has never attempted suicide.
Maharashtra's Medical Education Minister Vinod Tawde ordered for a high-level probe into Indrani's hospitalisation episode on Friday. He announced that the probe will be personally monitored by him and whoever helped Indrani will be punished severely.
