Now, the Congress has found out the secret of the BJP's success in elections. Now it has realised that it also should do what the BJP is doing. Yes. The Congress biggies, who have done a deep study of the reasons for the Congress Party's disastrous performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections, feel that the secret of the BJP's success lies in its training programme. The party workers are trained round the year and the they are ideologically motivated. It is because of this training that the BJP workers grow into effective communicators and reach out to the people. The party also feels that the BJP workers are trained in campaign methods also.
So, now the Congress Party too is chalking out a massive training programme across the country. The training programme will focus on ideology, communication and campaign. The party wants to take up the issue of nationalism and counter the BJP. The party wants to remind Indians about the role the Congress has played in creating a spirit of nationalism. It would also remind the people about the role the Congress has played in attaining Independence.
Secondly, the party workers will be taught communication skills in a big way. Thirdly, there would be deep focus on the campaign skills. The party leaders have told Sonia Gandhi recently that training programme was very important to motivate the cadre. Unless this is given priority, it is very difficult to motivate the cadre, they said. So, now that the Congress has identified the problem, will it work sincerely to eradicate the problem?
