Amaravati continues to be a hot topic in Andhra Pradesh. Be it the capital issue or the intense fight started by the farmers of the region to have a sole capital for the city. Some or the other issue makes it hit the headlines. Now Amaravati is in the news with the court orders.

Amaravati is in discussion as the High Court makes way for the AP government for the land allotment. The High Court said that interim orders cannot be issued on Government Order no 45 which was brought to allot house sites for people in the region. With this, the government can go forward with the allotment.

It is known that many farmers in the Amaravati region gave their lands to the capital region. The court earlier said that the lands should be developed and the flats should be handed over to the farmers who gave the lands. Amis this, the AP government brought the GO.

So the Amaravati farmers moved the High Court against this. Hearing the petition, the court that the stay cannot be imposed on this as the GO will benefit the poor as they are given lands. Saying that the capital belongs to everyone in the state, the court reportedly asked if the poor cannot stay in the capital

Saying that the decision would benefit the people, the High Court refused to issue interim orders and quashed the petition. During the arguments, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh said that it can't stop the government from taking such decisions.

The G.O. Ms. No. 45 was brought to give house plots for the people in the R-5 Zone in Amaravati under the 'Pedalandariki Illu' scheme. However the same was challenged in court and the Andhra Pradesh government got a favorable order.
