The much-talked-about YS Vivekananda Reddy case took a big turn with the arrest of Bhaskar Reddy, father of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy. As if that was not enough, the Central Bureau of Investigation served him a summons and asked him to appear before the officers. CBI is also said to have mentioned Avinash Reddy as the co-accused in the case.
Though he was supposed to appear before the CBI officers today, the questioning date was pushed to Tuesday. Avinash Reddy moved the Telangana High Court with a lunch motion seeking anticipatory bail in the case.
In the petition, he made some allegations like an alleged attempt to frame him in the case with the help of technology like Takeout. The serving MP also said that YS Avinash Reddy has affairs with family members of the accused.
Lawyers representing Avinash Reddy told the court to grant him anticipatory bail or give orders for his release if he gets arrested in the case. As his father was arrested already, he knocked on the doors of the High Court.
On the other hand, the CBI lawyers said that the agency wants to take him into his custody and question him in the case. Lawyers representing both sides have placed some contrary arguments and told the court what their version is.
After hearing the arguments of both sides, the High Court posted the case hearing to Tuesday. The Court will take a call on this case tomorrow. All eyes are on the case hearing now.
