A big controversy had erupted with a few Muslim students were reportedly denied entry into a college in Hijab. As the government said, the uniform dress will be entertained and no special concession will be given to a particular community, Muslim students have been alleging that their rights were violated.
Giving a new path to the issue, the Dalit students have extended their support to the Muslim students by raising Jai Bheem slogans. The students wore Ambedkar shawls and confronted the Hindu students who donned saffron shawls as a protest.
A tense situation took place at the state-run IDSG college in Karnataka when the students supporting and opposing Muslim girls raised slogans. A viral video shot at the college shows students with saffron shawls shouting Jai Shri Ram and students wearing blue shawls raising Jai Bhim.
Principal Correspondent at the Times Now media outlet took to Twitter to share a video that shows students raising Jai Bhim and Jai Shri Ram slogans inside the college. Sharing the video, the Correspondent said, the slogans were raised over the Hijab controversy.
"Standoff between students wearing Saffron shawls Vs students wearing blue shawls in chikkamagalur, "Jai bheem" VS "Jai Shree Ram" & other sloganeering between them inside the campus over the #HijabisOurRight," the tweet reads.
It has to be noted that, a few Hindu students have opposed the entry of Muslim girls in Hijab. As a reply to Hijab, Hindu girl students and boy students wore saffron students to the college. The controversy is still going on.
