Death Sentence for Esther Anuhya's Murderer

Mumbai's Special Women's Court on Friday pronounced death sentence to prime accused Chandrabhan Sanap for rape and murder of Andhra Pradesh techie Esther Anuhya.

While pronouncing the judgement, Special Judge Vrushali Joshi described it as the rarest of rare case and the accused be hanged till death for the charge of murder. The Court also observed Chandrabhan Sanap be sentenced to life imprisonment under charges of rape.

Esther Anuhya's Family expressed happiness over the judgement. The Victim's Uncle informed his family is happy to see the accused receive maximum punishment for the crime.

Soon after the judgement was announced, Chandrabhan Sanap broke down outside the court and he claimed to be innocent. The accused went on to say he was falsely implicated and there is no evidence against him.

Esther Anuhya who works as a Software Employee in Mumbai came back to the city after spending holidays with her family at Machilipatnam. It was at the Railway Station in Suburban Kurla, Chandrabhan Sanap offered to drop her at her place in Andheri for Rs 300. On the way, He raped and killed the 23-Year-Old.
