First State to go CASHLESS in India

Update: 2016-11-27 10:54 GMT
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been rooting for cashless transactions now. He made his stand on Black Money clear with demonetization. In every public meeting organized by BJP in the recent past, Modi was seen encouraging people to use mobile banking effectively for all the transactions instead of relying on the cash.

Goa is the first state in the country to go completely cashless. From December 31st this year, None of the people in this tourist destination need to carry hard cash for any sort of transactions. All they need to do is using their mobile to purchase essential commodities, book tickets and etc., Though Cash Transactions weren't banned, The agenda behind this move is to make people get used to cashless service.

Dial *99# and Follow the Instructions given for Cashless Transactions in Goa. Small Traders, who were badly hit by demonetization, needn't worry as the money would be directly deposited into their bank accounts. Very soon, PoS Machines would be provided for all the vendors so that people could use their debit/credit cards. If the mission works in a small state like Goa with a population of 15 lakhs, It can be implemented in other Indian states as well.
