The Kidnap case of Vizag MP's Family members has shaken the two Telugu states. Moreover, the MP is from the ruling YSRCP and the issue increased the political heat. The opposition parties did not waste any time raising their concerns about the law and order in the state and how the situation.
When so much is being talked about the case, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajendranath Reddy held a press meeting on the case and revealed sensational details and how the case went to the notice, and how they cracked this.
The DGP said that the case came to their notice when the MP complained that his auditor is missing and he is not coming to touch for the past few days. Acting on the complaint, the cops called Auditor GV and asked him where he was. But he said he is in Srikakulam. But the phone signals are saying that he is in Vizag.
The DGP said that the investigation found he was kidnapped and later found that the MP's family was also kidnapped. Rowdy Sheeters Hemanth and Rajesh kidnapped them for money. In just two days, the kidnappers got One crore 75 lakhs from the accused and Rs 86 lakhs were recovered from them.
MP's son was kidnapped on the 13th of this month and through him, his mother was also kidnapped. After she came to his house, she was also kept under house arrest, and money and gold were taken from her. The auditor was also trapped in this knowing that he has money.
When the Police got to know about this and they swung into action, the kidnappers tried to shift MP's wife, son, and auditor GV to another place in a vehicle. But they left them when the Police cashed them. Three others helped the kidnappers and they are absconding now.
We took timely action in this and saved the victims. It is not right to say that there are law and order issues in the state. We cracked the case within hours of receiving the complaint from the MP, the DGP said.
