Wipro is the first Indian IT Company to declare Donald Trump as potential threat to business. This is also the first time an IT Firm dared to say US President is a threat in its annual filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Indian IT Giant mentioned that developments since US Presidential polls have a negative impact on its business operations. Also, Policies of Trump Administration have affected the existing trade agreements due to new restrictions on immigrations and high tariff on goods imported into the US.
Donald Trump forced IT Companies to lower their dependence on the work visa and hire more Americans. Wipro announced that more than 50% of its workforce in the US will be locals by the end of First Quarter. Whereas, Infosys is keen to hire 10,000 americans in the next two years.
