As a big twist in former minister YS Viveka's murder case, the High Court of Telangana earlier canceled the bail of Erra Gangireddy, A1 accused. After canceling the bail, the High Court also said that he should surrender before the 5th of May and if he fails to do so he can be arrested.
It has become interesting to see how he would go forward with this. The other day he held talks with his lawyers reportedly to take a legal opinion on his bail. The meeting sparked a debate of what decision he would take in this regard.
Putting an end to the suspense, Erra Gangireddy is said to have surrendered before the court. Following the court orders, he reached the CBI court in Nampally.
On the other hand, he also doesn't have any other options. He has two options left. One is to surrender before the court or to challenge the same in the higher court. He doesn't have much time to go for the second option. So he opted for the first one.
Even if he didn't follow the guidelines and got arrested, this would make the case complicated. If the lawyers representing the CBI inform the court that he failed to follow the rules, then he might face some strict punishment.
Erra Gangireddy is A1 accused in former minister YS Viveka's murder case and he is believed to have known the plot. After the murder happened and the Police swung into action,he was arrested in 2019. However he got a bail later.
The chargesheet in the case was not filed in 90 days which made it easy for him to get a bail. Under the same condition he was granted bail.
But things went upside down for the accused in the case after the CBI stepped in. The central agency has been focusing on the accused saying that they would influence the witnesses in the case. Following this his bail was canceled.
