Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edapadi Palaniswamy decided to support AIADMK supporters objections to the scenes in the movie, Sarkar.
AR Murugadoss, the movie director decided to take the movie a few steps deep into controversial zone by throwing the mixers given by political parties as part of Government schemes and election promises.
Palaniswamy condemned the scenes saying that creative freedom cannot be justified at all cases. He said that when common public are opposing such virile acts in the name of political activism, Government has to support them for sure.
He also said that he wishes for filmmakers to not suck blood of the common moviegoers by increasing ticket rate from Rs.100 to Rs.1000 on the first day as black tickets.
He also said that the Government will never oppose a certain actor unless they have an agenda to be anti to all welfare schemes.
Palaniswamy said that the movie team has agreed to remove the objectionable scenes and mute words. So, the issue has been solved he claimed.
Rajnikanth opposed the protests and asked public to not oppose a movie that passed censor board regulations.
