First-Ever Corona Case Confirmed in Nellore

The concerned officials have given some initial information on the first-ever positive case of the novel Coronavirus who has the travel history of Italy. Though the initial reports state that the person is showing positive signs of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the samples of the patient were sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune for further medical examinations. The interim positive report has alerted the concerned officials.

Going into details, the patient was a city-based student who has returned from Italy recently after completing his higher studies. After keeping him in home-isolation for three days he was shifted to an isolation ward in the Government Hospital.

 

Quite surprisingly, he was in a normal situation for the first three initial days as the officials quarantined at home. But him developing dry cough has left the officials in a state of panic.

Later he was shifted to the isolation ward in the Government General Hospital. Talking about this District Medical and Health Officer Dr. G. Rajya Lakshmi said that swabs have been collected and the same was sent to SVIMs, Tirupathi.
