Laxman Meena, a Farmer of Bichchhugawadi village in Madhya Pradesh, received the shock of his life when he had gone to a public sector bank withdraw cash. He was given three Rs 2,000 notes at a bank in Baroda Town. To his shock, None of the new currency notes carry the image of Mahatma Gandhi.
Soon, Laxman returned to the bank branch and conveyed the matter to the Manager. Initially, The Manager commented that he should have thoroughly checked the notes before leaving the bank. At last, He agreed for the replacement of the faulty notes.
Bank Manager doubted it could be a printing error as the notes provided to the farmer were genuine. The information has been passed to the concerned authorities.
