CI Gorantla Madhav sought Voluntary Retirement from service way back in January 2019 to contest from Hindupur Lok Sabha Constituency on YCP Ticket. TDP Government hasn't relieved him from service so far making use of the three months deadline to accept VRS. As a result, Madhav had the threat of facing rejection if he files his nomination.
YCP Candidate moved Tribunal Court and received a favourable judgement. That's when AP Government decided to move the High Court citing VRS can't be approved as of now due to few reasons. Much to the shock of the AP Government, High Court permitted Gorantla Madhav to file nomination for the Hindupur Seat as the reasons cited weren't acceptable.
In the past few days, YCP Leadership considered fielding Gorantla Madhav's Wife as Party Candidate in Hindupur. Even Madhav and his Wife got ready to file nominations Today. With HC Directive, The nomination filed by Madhav becomes valid. So, There is no need for his Wife to contest the 2019 elections. The Couple has gone through a lot in the past few days. They will be relieved now and focus completely on campaigning.
