Governor'sCalculative Move On Pending Bills With Her?

Update: 2023-04-24 17:01 GMT
Things are not going well between Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for some time. Due to various reasons, the gap between the Raj Bhavan and Pragathi Bhavan is getting wider. The protocol issue is adding fuel to the fire. Saying that the Governor's office is yet to clear a few bills, the Telangana government approached the Supreme Court.

As the petition is slated to be heard by the Supreme Court, the Governor shocked the Telangana government by sending back two bills seeking more clarity. While clarity was sought on two bills, one bill was sent back. So the Governor has no pending bills with her.

Many doubt if it was a calculative move to seek information on two bills. The petition filed by the Telangana government will be heard today and if the court asks her then can say that no pending bills are lying with her. However, there is also another version of this.

As the government should give clarity on the two bills, the ruling party should call for a meeting in the Assembly House. So this can also be used by the Governor during the case hearing. So it appears that the Governor might have done this on purpose. We have to wait and see what happens next.

Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan made some interesting comments on the Chief Minister and said that he has not met her in the past two years and as per Article 167, KCR should consult her. We have to wait and see what happens next.
