Governor Talking Like BJP Representative: Fumes Harish Rao!

Update: 2023-06-28 16:57 GMT
It has almost become a norm for non-BJP-ruled states to have fights with the Governor. Usually, it is the union government that appoints the Governors and the states ruled by other parties raise some or the other issues to allege planned obstacles in ruling and governance.

Telangana is not an exemption for this. We have seen an intense fallout between the Pragathi Bhavan and Raj Bhavan many times. The fight was so intense that Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan even took part in TV debates. Usually, we don't see people holding such offices doing that. But that happened.

It appears that the fallout has no end. Recently, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan made some crucial comments on the historic Osmania Hospital. She opined that it is said to see such a historic hospital in poor condition. Her comments increased the political heat.

Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao took strong objections to her statements and hit back at her. It is sad to see the Governor make such comments. Couldn’t she see any good work that is happening in the government, the firebrand leader asked.

Harish Rao said that KCR planned a new building for the Osmania Hospital back in 2015. But a few people went to a court challenging this. The issue is still in the court. We are committed to constructing a new building for the hospital, he said.

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the Governor, Harish Rao opined that she is talking like a BJP represented. He went on to ask why she did not speak when the government had done so much in the health sector and won awards for this. Why she did not make any tweet when the beds are increased in NIMS? NITI Aayog ranked us at the top for reducing the risk of death and complications among mothers and infants. But she can't see this.
