The grand old Congress party ruled Andhra Pradesh in the combined state. But its legacy and power went for a toss and it is struggling big time after the state bifurcation. It faced a big defeat in two consecutive elections. Given the history it has, it is a big shock to see the party go through this.

This has been the scene for the past few years. But things have changed now and the party is witnessing contrasting things. We are seeing happening atmosphere at Gandhi Bhavan, the party office of the Congress in the state of Telangana. There are happy scenes in and around the party.

The Congress party is known for its fights between the leaders and the same happened in T-Congress. The senior leaders openly expressed dissatisfaction with Revanth Reddy. But they understood that personal things would impact the party and they came under one roof to work for the party.

The Karnataka elections gave a big hope for the party in Telangana as well and the leaders here got hope that they can come to power. With the Josh, they are working with double force and after a long time, we are seeing the happy faces in the party.

The same would not be the case if the Congress would have not won the Karnataka elections. The elections increased the morale of the party and gave a strong message that it is still in the race. The Karnataka result also gave hope to the opposition parties that they can take on BJP with better strategies.

The situation in Telangana concerning the party is that leaders who are not happy with the ruling BRS are looking at it. TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy also urged leaders to come to the party leaving aside the older issues.

With the Congress party opening its doors to the leaders, there is a happy atmosphere at Gandhi Bhavan. We have seen how hard the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders tried to take Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, who has a strong presence in the Khammam region. But the news is that Ponguleti is looking at the Congress and a few others might do the same.
