A promising model from Punjab Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu made history on Sunday after she was crowned the prestigious Miss World pageant at the 70th Miss Universe event in Israel the other day. She became the third Indian model to win the prestigious pageant after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta who later ventured into Bollywood.
Besides her beauty, the answers she gave to the questions asked by the organisers also helped the 21-year-old to win the beauty title. She was asked a question on what suggestion she would give for the young women to deal with the pressures.
Confident Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu answered that to deal with the pressure todayâs youth should believe in themselves. She also said that the youth should stop comparing themselves with others and realise that they are youth and that makes them beautiful.
She also said that, rather than comparing themselves with others, the youth should talk about things happening in the world. Giving an example of herself who stood before the jury at the event, Harnaaz said the youth should realise that they are the voice of themselves and they should start speaking for themselves.
Taking a question on the "Global Warming and Climate Change" topic, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu said, the climate-related issues make her sad and held the irresponsibility for this. Adding further, the 21-year-old said what we do can help nature. The jury members were impressed with the answer and she was crowned the beauty pageant.
She was drawn towards the beauty industry and she had participated in various beauty events earlier. She had earlier won titles like Times Fresh Face(2017), Miss Max Emerging Star India(2018), Femina Miss India Punjab(2019).
After winning the pageant, Harnaaz Sandhu had credited her success to her mother and called her an inspiration. She had thanked the Almighty, her parents, and the Miss India Organization for supporting her in the journey.
