Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday dismissed the petition filed against the implementation of Farm Loan Waiver.
Responding to the appeal that such poll sops should not be encouraged, High Court has given a dressing down to petitioner and asked him not to file such PIL against Farm Loan Waiver which is intended to help the poor farmers. It question what's wrong in waiving farm loans which have become a burden for poor. It also said farmers have been committing suicides unable to pay their debts and such petitions were unacceptable in the current scenario.
The Court opined Taxation for both rich and poor have been common. It went on to say the crop loan waiver would benefit the poor farmers in a big way.
