Actress Ranjitha on Friday turned into a Sanyasini at Swamy Nithyananda's Bidadi ashram near Bangalore. She took oath to follow the five strict guidelines prescribed for Sanyasinis and declared her rest of life will be spent like a disciple of godman.
The 38-year-old heroine changed her name to 'Ma Anandamayi' and asked everyone not to call her with her original name anymore. She took Sanyasini on the eve of Nithyananda's 37th birthday and hundreds of disciples participated in Today's program. It has been customary at the ashram for new disciples to take oaths on the birthday of Swamy Nithyananda.
Four years ago, Nithyananda and Ranjitha were allegedly involved in sex scandal. Later, the video which was aired on Television channels have been proved as morphed.
Seems like Ranjitha has decided not to act in films any more. Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan' will be her last movie.
