Nupur Saraswat, an artist who came to Hyderabad from Singapore, on Saturday got the shock of her life after a city hotel didn't allow her to stay despite advance booking. This particular hotel have a 'No Single Lady' policy.
The 22-Year-Old took to Facebook to express her anguish on the hotel for making her stand outside. 'Somehow they decided I was safer on the streets than in the hotel. Funny huh, how patriarchy works? #HyderabadSaga,' she wrote.
Travel Portal Goibibo which confirmed the online booking was contacted by Nupur. Then, An apology was conveyed and a complimentary stay was arranged at an another hotel. Representatives of Goibibo assured they would ensure such issues don't arise in future.
