The ruling party in Andhra Pradesh YSRCP is not in alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party. However, the party is doing more than what a friendly party would do. From supporting the bills tabled by the saffron party and extending support to President and Vice President candidates of BJP, YCP is doing its best to be in the good books of the BJP.
In turn, the saffron party leaders won't attack the party or the government as they do with other states. In places like Delhi and Telangana, BJP is not leaving any stone unturned to target the ruling parties in the respective states, which is not the case with Andhra Pradesh.
But the saffron party has changed its status quo with YSRCP. A Union Cabinet Minister launched an overall attack against the state government and went on to say that the mafia in the state had become powerful and there is a need to stop it.
Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of India Anurag Thakur surprised everyone by alleging that there is a mafia rule in the state and it should be cleared. He went on to say that the Delhi liquor scam might have its reach in the state as well.
Though it is a big surprise from the BJP, political experts say that BJP might be in plans to get rid of being friendly with the YCP. Despite many temples being attacked in the state, the big leaders did not make any noise about this which is very strange. Moreover, it has been widely reported that BJP and TDP might join hands and for that, the saffron party might have changed its views, experts say.
