India Reporting Over 40k Cases Daily Is A Warning For Covid Third Wave?
The novel Coronavirus continues to ring the danger bells in India and pose a serious threat to the country as fresh infections have been going up on a daily basis. Over the past few days, India has been seeing more than 40,000 cases.
Going by the same trend, India had once again reported more than 40,000 cases with as many as 44,643 fresh cases in the past 24 hours. What's even more concerning is that compared to Thursday, the fresh infections saw a growth of over 2,000.
Including the fresh infections, the cumulative toll of Coronavirus cases in the country had gone up to 3,18,56,757. While 44,643 people were declared positive for Covid on Friday,42,982 people were tested positive for Covid.
On the other hand, the contagious disease had claimed 4,26,754 lives in the country so far after 464 patients lost their lives to the virus in the past 24 hours. With 31,015,844 patients beating the virus, the active cases stood at 4,14,159.
Godâs own country Kerala is facing the wrath of the Covid impact with the state reporting around half of the cases reported in the country. Kerala reported 22,040 fresh cases in 24 hours, which is higher than Maharashtra, the severely hit state.
The medical research body Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on its Twitter handle said, 16,40,287 samples were tested on Thursday while a total of 47,65,33,650 samples have been tested to detect the virus as of now.

The steady rise in the fresh Coronavirus infections could be a danger signal to the country as the experts have been warning that Covid third wave might hit the country in August. The possible third wave is expected to have a big impact if it hits.
Earlier, a few experts warned that the efforts to vaccinate the people in the country should be ramped up so that the impact of the virus can be diluted.
