India recently surpassed China in terms of population and emerged as the most populous nation in the world. The United Nations announced the same and since then we are seeing mixed reactions from one and all. While a few say that having a big size of population is a big advantage, few others say that it would be a setback for India.

Amid this, a cartoon on India's population grabbed everyone's attention and became a sensation in the country. The cartoon has a racist approach as it compared India and China. While the cartoon depicted China as a developed nation with bullet trains, it showed India lagging with old train and a big population. The cartoon says that China is moving forward in development and infrastructure and India is progressing in employment.

Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar expressed his anger over the cartoon and slammed the racist approach of the German media company. Saying that he is notwithstanding with the cartoon, the Minister said that it is not a smart attempt to bet against India and Indian economy would surpass Germany soon.

"Dear Cartoonist at @derspiegel.Notwithstanding your attempt at mocking India…its not smart to bet against India under PM @narendramodi ji.In a few years India's economy will be bigger than Germany's," Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, skill development, electronics, and technology said on Twitter.

We can understand the sensation the cartoon created as a Union Minister swung into action and slammed the media company and the artist that made the cartoon. Famous German magazine Der Spiegel aired a cartoon that mocked India. Not just the Minister, but even netizens did not like what the company did and slammed it.

Taking to Twitter, the netizens expressed anger at the media company and asked how a reputed media company can do that and make fun of India. Blasting the German media company for its racist approach and for disrespectfully representing India, netizens are breathing fire against the company.

However, a few netizens gave a mature reaction to this and said that what the cartoon said has to be acknowledged as we can see trains overcrowded during festival seasons and passengers travel on top of the trains.
