No threat for IPL 9, 8 Teams to play!

Update: 2015-07-16 08:05 GMT
IPL governing council chairman Rajeev Shukla on Wednesday announced that IPL 9 is very much on and BCCI is working on possibilities to include 8 teams for the next edition.

Recently, Supreme Court appointed Justice Lodha Committee imposed a suspension on Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for a period of two years for alleged involvement in betting and spot fixing. This landmark judgement spread the speculations that IPL might be scrapped just alike Champions League Twenty20 as only six teams were left for the next year's edition.

To put an end to the rumours, Rajiv Shukla declared IPL 9 willn't be played with 6 teams but regular 8 teams. He told BCCI will abide by the Lodha Committee report and implement all of its recommendations. He also revealed crucial decision regarding IPL 9 will be taken during Sunday's governing council meeting.
