Is there some kind of understanding between Jana Sena and the TDP? Are they hand-in-glove in Tirupati bypoll? Political watchers feel that the Jana Sena is slowly but surely veering towards the TDP. What is interesting is that even the BJP seems to be aware of this. In fact, there seems to be no opposition from the AP BJP.
Quite interestingly, during his election tour of Tirupati, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan did not say a word about either Chandrababu Naidu or the TDP. He only targeted the YSRCP. Similarly, when Chandrababu Naidu campaigned in Sri Kalahasti, his focus was only on the YSRCP and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He did not target the BJP or Jana Sena. In fact, there was some tacit understanding between Jana Sena and the TDP even during the panchayat and the civic polls. In places where the TDP was not in contest, the TDP supporters have voted for the Jana Sena. As a result, the Jana Sena got quite a few seats.
Sources say that one would not be surprised if there is a vote transfer during the Tirupati bypolls. The Jana Sena, which is upset with the BJP for not allocating the ticket to its candidate, might shift its votes to the TDP. They want to teach a lesson to the BJP for ignoring the Jana Sena and help the TDP in fighting the YSRCP. Several senior leaders are unhappy with this strategy. Already former MLC Madasu Gangadharam has resigned opposing this strategy.
