TRS sources say that once his son KTR is anointed the CM of Telangana, KCR will focus on the national politics. He is now said to be constituting a close-door team of loyal party leaders for KTR. After KTR is made a CM, KCR would shift to Delhi and would play an active role at the national level. He is said to be in touch with various small parties and is planning to forge some kind of alliance. KCR will spend more time in Delhi and he will emerge as a key player at the national level, said a senior TRS leader on condition of anonymity.
KCR is of the opinion that the political situation at the Centre will turn favourable to the small regional parties after the 2024 elections and these parties might play a key role in the government formation post elections. For them to become important, there has to be an alliance of such small parties, feels KCR. 'Soon after KTR is made the CM, KCR would for some time retreat into his farm house.
