Is it Raj Bhavan vs Pragathi Bhavan in Telangana? Ever since Tamilisai Saundararajan took over as the Governor of Telangana, she has shown that she is different from ESL Narasimhan. She has tried to reach out to the general public through Janata Durbars and made comments that are not exactly music to Chief Minister KCR.
On Thursday, KCR launched veiled attack on Governor when he said that the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Central Government was a dud. In fact, only a couple of days ago, the Governor came out strongly in favour of the Ayushman Bharat and suggested that the State Government adopt the unique Central Government Health Scheme. Chandrasekhara Rao chose to attack the scheme on the floor of the house. This is being seen as an indirect snub to Tamilisai.
The Governor has in the past questioned the KCR Government's failure to rein in Corona in the state. In an interview to a national channel, she said the State Government could not measure up to the expectations on Covid control. She had also suggested that the State Government hold Janata Durbar kind of interface meeting to reach out to the people. All these point out to a cold war brewing between both the Raj Bhavan and the Pragathi Bhavan.
