Former Union Minister Sujana Chowdary demanded YCP Government to issue a White Paper on Polavaram Project. He opined the manner in which State Government has done reverse tendering wasn't appropriate.
Sujana Chowdary: 'Had if YSR Government didn't delay the project until 2013, Polavaram would have been completed with an expenditure of Rs 10,000 crore. Even TDP Government delayed the project in the past 5 years conducting meetings on every Monday. And now, YCP Government stalled the project works for four months and gone for reverse-tendering which was actually preferred in the case of projects where duration of construction was 15 to 20 years. Here YCP Government claimed it reduced the cost by Rs 700 crore through Reverse Tendering. Had if it completed the project in time, Farmers wouldn't have suffered a huge loss. With the approach of YCP Government, Project got delayed by 3 years and this results in a loss of at least Rs 15,000 crore to the agriculture sector. YCP Government has set a bad precedent by indulging in such practices. It brings bad reputation to the whole nation. If this continues, Industrialists would run away from Andhra Pradesh. Already, Banks has stopped lending loans. The financial situation of the state looks so bad'.
The BJP Leader questioned why YCP Government hasn't been implementing the sand policy which it has introduced. He questioned, 'Vijay Sai Reddy claimed 90 percent of the Village Volunteers are YCP Activists. Are you trying to rule dividing the people on the basis of parties, castes and religions? Ministers who made allegations that I owned vast land in AP Capital has to prove them. Is it right to ban ABN Andhrajyothi and TV5?'.
Sujana didn't even spare Chandrababu Naidu whom according to him is trying to gain sympathy with the demolition of his residence in the AP Capital. He wondered why don't Naidu vacate the property when it was taken on lease.
