Jagan's Mlas Facing Voters' Anger: Says Survey

Update: 2021-10-20 07:27 GMT
Here's some bad news for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. While he still continues to be quite popular in the governance ranking, his MLAs are facing rough weather. They seem to rank unfavourably as anger against them is building up. In fact, his MLAs are facing the highest anger from their constituents.

According to the IANS-C Voter Governance Index, which was published recently, 28.5 per cent of the respondents were angry at the performance of the MLAs from Andhra Pradesh. The voters are unhappy with their working style. This seems to be a warning bell for YS Jagan. Interestingly, this was the outcome of an internal survey done recently. In fact Jagan himself had warned the MLAs that they will have to improve their performance or will have to face the voters' wrath.

But, as for Jagan, he is rated the second most performing CM after Chhattisgarh CM Bhupen Baghel. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, who stood first in the January 2021 rankings, now finds himself in the third place.  Significantly, there is no change in Jagan's position in the last six months.

The survey conducted on the basis of 115 parameters quantifies the amount of anger against the elected public representatives in the states. The results show that most of the BJP ruled states are lagging behind in popularity. UP and Goa, both poll-bound BJP-run states are facing anger against their chief ministers.
