Telangana police arrested a native of Jagtial district for putting up an offensive post against CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on Facebook.
As per police, a Telangana man Raju who is working in Dubai had posted on Facebook that CM KCR has fell prey for the virus and added that Gandhi hospital doctors have confirmed the death of KCR.
In the post, the 27-year-old Raju Panyala from Lambadipalli morphed chief minister's picture and shared on social media. Cybercrime sleuths of Hyderabad registered a suo motu case against him and found that he is operating the account from Dubai. The police issued the lookout notices for him.
However, Raju who was not aware of these lookout notices arrived in Mumbai from Saudi Arabia on August 14. As soon as he reached the Mumbai airport, the authorities identified him and passed the information to Hyderabad police.
The airport authorities in Mumbai complied with the orders of the Telangana police to take him into custody. The police presented him in court on Monday and he was sent to remand while his mobile phone was seized.
