Jana Sena digital campaign on condition of roads in AP

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has decided to take up the appalling condition of the roads in Andhra Pradesh to take on the might of YSRCP chief and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Starting from Friday, the Jana Sena has launched a digital campaign against the bad roads in the state.

Jana Sena workers from across the state will upload pictures of the potholes on the road in various parts of the state on Twitter and tag them to the chief minister with the hashtag #GoodMorningCMSir. These pics would be uploaded for three days starting from July 15. Even videos showing the travails of the commuters due to the bad roads would be uploaded during these three days.

The party leadership has asked the cadres, supporters and fans to upload the videos on a large-scale to draw the government’s attention. The Jana Sena pointed out that though the YSRCP government has allocated a total of  Rs 22675 crore for road repairs in the last three budgets, the condition of the roads has not improved.

This year, the YSRCP government has claimed that all the roads would be repaired by July 10. But, Jana Sena has said that nothing was done and that there was no improvement in the condition of the roads. Hence to draw the attention of the condition, the digital campaign has been planned, said party sources.

It may be recalled that the Jana Sena had organised a similar campaign on September 5,6 and 7 last year on the roads issue with the hashtag #JSPFfor APRoads. The Jana Sena had alleged that the contractors have refused to take up road repairs as their pending arrears have not been paid so far. During the last one year, the condition of the roads has not improved one bit, said a Jana Sena functionary.
