Janasena In Plans For All Out Attack on Rebel MLA?

Update: 2022-08-08 12:30 GMT
The 2019 general elections in Andhra Pradesh is a big nightmare for the Janasena party. Pawan Kalyan's party contested the polls with a lot of expectations and hype that the party would emerge as the kingmaker by winning a good number of seats. Sadly that did not happen and the party lost the elections cheaply and Pawan Kalyan also lost the polls.

Janasena had only one relief as the party opened its account as Rapaka Varaprasad Rao emerged victorious from the Razole Assembly constituency. However, the happiness did not last long as he shifted his loyalties towards the ruling YSRCP. This brought even more humiliation to Janasena.

The supporters and sympathizers of Janasena showed their anger against Rapaka Varaprasad Rao a few times. Earlier, the cadre in the Razole constituency put up posters saying that Rapaka need not take part in the annual celebrations of Janasena formation day.

Now it is said that going the followers' way, party chief Pawan Kalyan reportedly decided to give it back to Rapaka by checkmate him. Given the fact that Janasena is very strong in Razole as the cadre is very active, Janasena wants to field a person against

If we have to take anything from the media reports, one Deva Varaprasad, who is a retired IAS officer might be trying his luck from the Razole constituency. Deva Varaprasad is a native of Razole and he has a good image there as he cracked IAS coming from a humble background.

On the other hand, when he served as the Secretary, he made sure that his region gets a helping hand as he allocated a few projects to the Razole constituency. Now, the former IAs is said to be the Razole candidate.

The local factor would work in favour of him and the good image might translate into votes. Moreover, the local cadre would surely campaign for him if he gets the party ticket. We might get some clarity in a few days.
