As things are not going well between Hyderabad Cricket Association and the President of the body former skipper Mohammad Azharuddin, the Apex Council met for a crucial meeting on Monday.
According to the media reports, the meeting took place secretly and the main agenda behind the meeting was to take a call on Azharuddin who has been at the logger heads with the cricket body.
With things between two parties turning uglier day by day, the Apex Council had reportedly decided to axe Azharuddin from HCA President post.
A date has been fixed to remove him from the post and the big move from the Apex Council is likely to come on July 18, when the Special General Meeting(SGM) of the Apex Council will take place.
Things escalated quickly when the HCA had suspended Azaharuddin from the President post and Show Cause notice was also slapped on the grounds of violation of the guidelines.In the notice, the President was asked to respond to the allegations he is facing.
As a response to the notice, HCA President said, the Apex Council doesn't hold the powers to remove him from the post.The confrontation has been going on since then.
