People inside Kabul Airport paying thousands for water and rice!

The Kabul Airport in Afghanistan continues to see heart wrenching incidents with the people who want to flee the country rushing inside the airport.

As the reports say that the evacuation operations will not take place after the 31st of this month, the Afghanistan nationals are rushing into the airport to leave the country.

Long lines of queues were seen at the entry gates of the Kabul Airport. People are using other ways to enter the airport. The other day, pictures of people in a drain outside the airport went viral.

People who want to leave the Taliban occupied Afghanistan are facing two big challenges now. One challenge is to enter the airport and the second one is to wait till the aircrafts that are meant for evacuation starts from there.

The first challenge they can overcome easily. But surviving the second challenge seems very hard and next to impossible for the Afghanistan nationals.

The food items are being sold at high prices reportedly. Forget about the food items, even the water bottle costs thousands there.

According to the ground report of the horrific situations prevailing inside the Kabul Airport, the sellers are quoting very high prices for the water bottles and rice as well.

The water bottles are being sold for #40, that translates to close to Rs 3,000, while rice costs around $100, more than Rs 7,000. The worst part here is that the Afghanistan currency is not acceptable and only the US currency does.

People who have no idea on how horrible the situation inside the airport is are exploring all the ways to make it into the airport feeling that they will be happy there.

The common goal of people inside and outside the airport is simple: get out of the hell-like situation and breathe fresh air somewhere.

A portion of Afghanistan nationals have reached countries like India, United States, United Kingdom and others by fitting inside their aircrafts that were dedicated for evacuating the people.

However, the Taliban troops have earlier appealed to the people of Afghanistan that there is no need of leaving the country and there will be peace in the country. Looks like people are not convinced by Taliban assurance.
