Kamal's Shocking Take on Mahabharat!

Update: 2017-03-17 07:34 GMT
Kamal Haasan stirred a controversy by commenting Indians take pride in reading a book which talks about how a woman (Draupadi) was used as a pawn and gambled. He made this remark when asked about Honour Killings in the country during a recent interview to a Tamil TV Channel. 'In a country where a book talks about a woman being gambled, Such incidents aren't surprising,' he opined.

Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) Activists lodged a police complaint against Kamal Haasan on grounds that his comments hurt the sentiments of Hindu. Describing the Versatile Actor as Anti-Hindu, HMK Secretary Rama Ravikumar questioned: 'What does Kamal Haasan gain by making such derogatory remarks? Will he speak against either Quran or Bible in such manner? He shouldn't have spoken about a book which is believed by millions of people  in that way. Does he have the guts to speak against any other Religion?'.

Of course, Kamal Haasan will neither regret making such comments nor withdraw them even if somebody protests. He speaks out what he believes in & remains firm on his stand no matter what the consequences might be.
