In the recent past, the government of Andhra Pradesh has been stressing over the usage of the Rushkinda Buildings that were built by ex CM Jagan Mohan Reddy on a whopping budget of Rs 450 crore. The government, led by the NDA camp is not sure about how to use this super swanky building and how to put the massive investment to good use.

On this matter, there is an underlying talk amongst the social media clout that this building must be used as the U.S. Consulate office in AP. With the consulate actively persuing the idea of setting up their office in Vijayawada or Vizag, this Rushikonda building has become a prime choice.

The Consulate is a swanky enclosure and needs A-grade infrastructure funded by the government. In that case, the Consulate can happily be established at the Vizag Rushikonda building, which already boasts of world-class infrastructure. This really is a clever and effective way of using the aesthetic building that was constructed under the Jagan regime.

If the new AP government can actually put this plan forward, it would mean a mighty deal. Considering the fact that 56% of the Indian students studying abroad are from the Telugu states, this building in Rushikonda would serve as a perfect harbour for the domestic Telugu student group.
