Karnataka Congress Chief Tests Coronavirus Positive

In a shocking development, Karnataka Congress Chief DK Shivakumar tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and has been shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru for further treatment.

The 58-year-old Chief took to Micro-blogging site Twitter to confirm the same and said he is doing well and as per doctors' advice, he admitted himself to hospitals. He urged people who came in contact with him to be careful.

"I had fever and have tested positive for the Corona Virus. I am doing well, but as a precaution have been hospitalised and am under the good care of doctors. With your wishes and blessings, I will soon be back. I appeal to all those who came in contact with me to be cautious." Shivakumar's Tweet read.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy wished DK Shivakumar a speedy recovery through social media.

Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Health Minister B Sriramulu, Tourism Minister C T Ravi, Agriculture Minister B C Patil, and Forest Minister Anand Singh. Leader of Opposition Siddaramiah contacted the dreaded virus and have been recovered.
