The general elections are fast approaching in Karnataka. When everyone was expecting to see a tough fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, Mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy came into the picture and announced his party. As the BJP mistreated him allegedly, he wants to shock the party.
Amid this, the Supreme Court shocked the mining baron. Gali Janardhan Reddy moved the Supreme Court seeking relaxations on the conditions imposed on his bail. The Bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justices MR Shah and CT Ravikumar shocked him and rejected the petition.
As the elections are approaching, the petition was filed seeking relaxation. However, the Apex Court said no to the petition. When the lawyers representing Gali Janardhan Reddy sought permission from the Court to file a petition after the elections, the court also said no to this.
Gali Janrdhan Reddy is facing serious allegations in mining and he is accused in a multi-million illegal mining case. The CBI arrested him and was sent to prison. Later he was given bail. However, the court imposed some conditions and he was restricted from visiting a few regions including Bellary, which is his strong zone.
His wife is contesting from Bellary and she filed a petition recently. If Gali Janardhan Reddy can campaign for his wife then it will do wonders for her. However, the Supreme Court shocked him and rejected the petition.
On the other hand, Gali Janardhan Reddy will be contesting the upcoming elections from Gangavathi in the Koppal district. He filed a nomination for the polls. He went on a rally to file the nomination for the elections.
