Karnataka Elections: Who Won And Who Lost So Far?

After why Kattappa killed Baahubali? If there is any question that grabbed everyone's attention in the country it is who wins the Karnataka elections. Putting an end to this, the vote counting started today. All eyes are on the southern state to see which party wins the elections as the major parties gave their best in the campaign activities.

The picture is almost clear and the Congress would come to power with the super majority and it would also not require other's support. Congress is leading in more seats than the magic figure. This can be seen as a major moral win for the grand old Congress party which is losing one after the other state.

Let us look at the leaders who managed to win their seats and who tasted defeat in the elections as of now.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai won from the Shiggaon constituency with a supermajority. He defeated Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan of the Congress party by over 35,000 votes. Bommai won the seat for the fourth time.

Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar won the  Kanakapura seat by over 90,000 votes by defeating BJP's R Ashoka. Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar who joined the Congress party from BJP lost the Hubli-Dharwad Central assembly. He lost the seat to BJP leader Mahesh Tenginakai.

Actor-politician Nikhil who hails from a political party could not create any magic. Nikhil Kumaraswamy lost the Ramnagar seat. His father H.d. Kumaraswamy won the elections from the Malavalli seat.

Karnataka Minister V Somanna lost the elections as he was defeated in the Chamarajanagar constituency with a small margin of 7500 votes. B. Sriramulu, Transport Minister lost the Ballari rural constituency. State Home Minister and BJP leader Araga Jnanendra is leading in the Tirthahalli state with over 12000 votes.

Education Minister B.C. Nagesh is trailing behind in Tiptur's seat. V. Sunil Kumar, Energy, and Culture Minister is leading in the Karkala seat by over 4,000 seats.

The Mandya seat caught everyone's attention as Lok Sabha leader Sumalatha extended her support to the Bharatiya Janata Party. So everyone wanted to see who wins the MLA seat that is also a part of the MP seat. Mandya MLA seat is dubbed as Semi-Urban. Congress party won the seat here.

Mining king Gali Janarhan Reddy won the elections from the Gangavati seat. However, his wife Lakshmi Aruna lost the elections from Ballari.
