Karnataka Polls: Parties Wooing Telugu Voters In This Seat!

Update: 2023-05-01 18:41 GMT
The Southern state of Karnataka will go for general elections this month. The political parties in the state are busy drawing strategies to win the elections. Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress, JDS, and Gali Janardhan Reddy's "Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha '' are the outfits that are in the fight.

Ahead of the elections, one Assembly seat is grabbing everyone's attention as parties are busy wooing Telugu voters there. The reason for this is that the Assembly seat has Telugu population in big numbers and they can be the deciding factor and can decide who wins the elections.

The Bagepalli Assembly constituency in Karnataka sees Telugu people in big numbers. People from neighboring Andhra Pradesh migrated there due to various reasons and settled there. Telugu people there account for around 20 percent of the population there.

Telugu states are close to a few states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, and others and we can see people in the border areas speaking both languages. The same is the case with Bagepalli. People who went there settled and became voters. Though the Telugu population is evident in many regions like Ballari, Bagepalli's condition is different.

The Sitting MLA there is Subbareddy and we can understand the situation. The candidates who are trying their luck in elections are either Telugu people or Telugu-origin people. It is going to be interesting to see what happens next in the upcoming polls.
