The row involving Sarpanch Navya of Janakipuram of Dharmasagar Mandal in Hanamkonda district and Station Ghanpur BRS MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah is taking new twists with each day passing. Telangana Women Commission and National Women Commission took the issue as a suo moto already.
It is known that Navya created a sensation by alleging that MLA Rajaiah is sexually harassing her. She went on to say that no funds are released for the village development and funds are being stopped. With the case becoming a big sensation in the state, MLA Rajaiah came into the picture and met the Sarpanch and her husband. He also apologized to the couple. The MLA announced that he will allocate Rs 20 lakhs for the village development.
A few days back, Navya appeared before the media again and filed a Police complaint that Rajaiah's followers are harassing her. She also said that the promised funds of Rs 20 lakhs were also not released.
Without giving funds, they are forcing me to sign a bond paper that I received the funds, she said. The cops asked her to produce evidence against the MLA in this regard.
Amid this, a temporary compromise happened between Sarpanch Navya and MLA Rajaiah as the latter allocated Rs 25 lakhs for the village development. MLA said that the proceedings on the CDF funds were started. Navya said that the funds will be used for village development.
Navya also said that her husband has to pay Rs 7 lakhs to MLA Rajaiah which will be paid soon. I will tell my husband about this and demand him to pay the dues, she said. Navya became emotional during this. She thanked the MLA for giving the preceding letter allocating funds for the village.
Navya said that MLA Rajaiah apologized to her over the previous fight. She said that she never had eyes on money and she fights for self-respect. We are demanding the village by selling out assets, she said.
I will fight against Rajaiah's harassment as per the law. I will continue to fight against MLA Rajaiah through the National and state women's commissions, she said. Navya expressed her sadness over MLA's followers calling her and talking in an objectionable manner. She released a few call recordings to the media.
