Kin Of Deceased Reliance Employees, To Receive Salary For 5 Years And Other Benefits!
As a noble gesture, Reliance Industries (RIL) has decided to look after the families of the employees, who have breathed their last while battling the contagious novel Coronavirus.
In a statement, the company said, the nominee of employees will be provided a salary for the coming five years. The last drawn salaries of the employees will be taken into account to provide to their kin.
In addition to that, the company has also pledged to bear the cost of tuition fees, hostel accommodation, and book fees till Bachelor's degree. This applies to colleges and institutes across the country.
A new leave policy was announced by Reliance Industries, where the employees can take leave to recover from the virus, they can take the leave if their loved ones catch the deadly virus.
The kin of employees, who lost their lives to the deadly virus will be provided with a sum of Rs 10 lakh. Nita Ambani, the chairperson of Reliance Foundation confirmed the same on Wednesday.
"Reliance stands with each one of you in this hour of grief. To all bereaving families of any off-roll workforce member working for the group, who has succumbed to COVID-19, Reliance is extending the following support," the company said in a statement.
Reliance became the second company to extend such support. Earlier, Tata Industries had also announced a similar help to the employees and their family members.
