Kerala Police on Wednesday arrested nine people, including "Kiss of Love" campaign organizers Rahul Pashupalan and his wife Resmi R Nair.

Charges were filed against Rahul and his wife for allegedly running an online sex racket.

Rahul and Resmi rose to fame after organizing Kiss of Love protests in Kerala, which were to protest against the rising incidents of moral policing

It is alleged that the couple were in cohorts with a group involved in supplying minors and young children. Police said some of the arrested people had allegedly uploaded pictures of school- and college-going girls on a Facebook page and posted derogatory comments.

Kiss of Love protest is a non-violent protest against moral policing which started in Kerala, and later spread to other parts of India. The campaign used kissing as a form of protest to oppose the restrictions on civil liberties and strict moral policing by authorities.
