Komatireddy Has Enemies Within

Update: 2020-10-02 04:10 GMT
Senior Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is facing problems from within. More than fighting his political enemies from rival parties, he is now forced to fight people from his own party. He now feels that many top leaders in the party have made common cause with his rivals in Nalgonda district.

During the last assembly elections, Venkat Reddy fought and lost the assembly elections, but redeemed his prestige by winning Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha seat. During the Lok Sabha elections, he brought Dubbaka Narasimha Reddy from the TRS into the Congress. Many in the Congress had opposed this move.

But now it turns out that Narasimha Reddy is trying to consolidate his position in Nalgonda assembly constituency and is trying to edge out Komatireddy. He is arguing that since Komatireddy is an MP, he will be the party candidate from Nalgonda assembly constituency. Komatireddy is shocked at the rebellion by this friend-turned-foe.

What is more worrisome from him is that PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy is fully backing Dubbaka Narasimha Reddy and is pushing for giving him the leadership in Nalgonda. For Komatireddy, it's not just a loss of a friend, but also a loss of ground. Let's wait and watch how he manages to salvage the situation.
