Karnataka High Court ordered the Kumaraswamy Government to provide security for the theaters screening 'Kaala' after pro-Kannada Groups threatened to stall the release. Subsequently, Rajinikanth has appealed Karnataka CM to ensure adequate security at theatres.
CM HD Kumaraswamy told he would comply with the order issue by the court regarding 'Kaala' release. He, however, maintained timing of the release wasn't right as the tempers were running high. 'Having the experience of being a Producer & Distributor, I could say it's not financially beneficial for either Producer or Distributors to release the movie in this situation. They can release whenever they want once the Cauvery Water Issue is resolved. I am making this suggestion as an individual, not as CM,' he told.
Earlier, Kumaraswamy had invited Rajinikanth to visit Karnataka for understanding the situation of water capacity and plight of farmers. He made it clear Karnataka doesn't have enough water to share it with Tamil Nadu.
