Update: 2020-04-02 11:42 GMT
In what it could be a shocker, the government health workers and volunteers were attacked by a violent mob in Nizamabad when they tried to screen the residents for symptoms of the novel coronavirus as it is believed that many of the locals might have attended the religious ceremony at the Markaz Majid in Nizamuddin region of Delhi.

As the locals were refusing to give the samples for screening they had chased the health workers and volunteers and even pelted stones at them and some of them have injured severely.

Going into details, as most of the attendees of the Markaz Majid were tested positive for the deadly COVID-19, the Telangana government has urged those who went to the Masjid from the state between March 13th-15th to give their blood samples voluntarily so that the virus can be stopped further from spreading further.

This did not go well with the locals and they started attacking the health officers. The video of the same which is one minute long went viral on social media and even some of the channels have also telecasted it.

In another disgraceful event, a doctor was attacked by the relatives of a coronavirus-affected patient has come to light in Hyderabad's Gandhi Hospital

"The doctors had kept the family members updated about the man's condition and they were informed that he was in a very critical condition even two days back. They had gotten a bit aggressive at that time itself and we did ask for additional security to be provided but it wasn't provided. He developed Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) following which he died," said one doctor from JUDA.

Let's see how the Telangana government and Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali responds to it and whether they will take any strict action on the attackers.
