93.5 Percent Support To Modi On Lockdown?

Handling of Corona has found new fans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His strategy to tackle Corona virus, his decision to implement lockdown and his ability to largely contain the virus spread compared to other countries in the world have earned great support from the general public.

An IANS-C Voter survey, conducted recently, has shown that a staggering 93.5 per cent of the people of the country have staunchly supported Modi. His popularity ratings are rising sharply. In the first week of the Lockdown, 76.8 per cent of people supported Modi's handling of Corona. The next week, it rose to 79.4 per cent. Now, it has come up to 93.5 per cent.  Modi has also earned the praise of world leaders, including heads of several states and also industry greats like Bill Gates.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the lockdown could be extended up to May 24. This means, the country would be under lockdown till the Ramzan festivities are over. This decision comes in the wake of the spurt of Corona positive cases due to Markaz meet in Delhi.
