The IT sector saw a big boom for over two years when the Covid outbreak hit us. The leading software firms and tech giants hired employees in big numbers during this period due to the workload. Things changed upside down and the companies are slowly laying off employees due to various reasons.

Companies across the globe and irrespective of their sizes are regularly sacking employees. Tech giants like Google, Accenture, and others removed the employees. Recently, Google removed around 12,000 employees. There is a talk that Google might go for some more layoffs.

Now it's the turn of global financial consulting firm Deloitte to go for layoffs. As per the media reports, the firm is in plans to remove as many as 1200 employees working in the United States. The concerned employees were also informed about this reportedly.

Deloitte might remove 1200 jobs which translates to 1.5 percent of the workforce. It is said that the layoff decision was taken to reduce the expenses and make the workforce crisp. The company had an annual revenue of $59.3 billion last year. Despite this, the company wants to sack the employees.

It has to be mentioned here that Deloitte's rival Ernst & Young announced that it will be removing 3,000 employees in the United States. Days after the company announced the decision, Deloitte's management also started the process.

Financial experts say that Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) are the four big professional services networks in the world. As we have fab four in modern-day cricket, we also have four big firms in the world.
