Repeating the old success, the Islamic Movement Taliban had captured Afghanistan by waging a war against the security forces. One after the other cities fell for the Taliban and the whole nation went into the custody of the Taliban. However, the nation was pushed into a deep crisis after the Taliban took over.
As a hard-hitting example of the deep crisis in the nation, the media sector was hit very hard by the crisis leaving the sector in the middle of financial problems. With the problem reaching the saturation point, the media sector had issued a warning to the Afghanistan government.
The News Agency ANI had said that the Afghanistan Journalists and Media Organizations Federation (AJMOF) had reached out to the government saying that if the financial issues faced by the industry are not cleared within a week, then they had to hit the roads.
After putting the deadline to address the issue, the AJMOF is said to have warned that no media outlet or newspaper will be active for the coming six months in Afghanistan.
Saying that the media industry was hit very hard by the Taliban take over, a few members of the organization are said to have alleged that the situation became so worse that the outlets are unable to pay the salaries too.
Adding further, the organization said that a few outlets have already been shut and many others might join them. Having said that, the organization had urged the government and bodies that work for the media to lend a helping hand before it gets too late.
